Shabaka Hutchings is a saxophonist, band leader and composer. He is part of the young jazz and improvisation scene in London and plays in different formations, including Shabaka & The Ancestors, Sons of Kemet and The Comet is Coming.

During this sonic lecture, Hutchings investigates how to determine Caribbean influences and what happens when they come in contact with typical Western music.
