Corianne Oosterbaan’s short story in her mother tongue ‘De afstand tussen mij en Aarde’ (The distance between me and the Earth) takes place on Mars in the years between 2101 and 2136.
15-year-old protagonist Amaia, one of the first people born in the new colony, wonders if she will ever see Earth. Oosterbaan was one of the participants of the workshop Envisioning Other Futures, led by Rochita Ruiz.
